This is not exactly a sequel to Pohlmann's Compact Disc Handbook, but is much more up to date and covers a lot of the same material and more. Very highly recommended.

- This site contains some papers on the issues of encryption, including using release software for distributing files via CD-ROM. Abbott is Chief Scientist of Rainbow Technologies, and was founder of the AND group, inc., who developed the first CD-ROM based release software, used in such products as Adobe's Type on Call discs.

- The DAT Tax
- This page has some interesting points to make about copyright laws as they pertain to recording, with a copy of The Audio Home Recording Act of 1992. This law and proposed revisions of it may also apply to CD-Recordable since there is currently a movement to require a similar surcharge on CD-R media used to record audio discs (but don't take my word for it -- I am not a lawyer.)
